Baby in sync: The emotionally connected baby” by Miranda Thorpe is now published by Austin Macauley, and available in hardback, paperback, ebook and audiobook. Also through Amazon, The Nile, Trade me, Wheelers and Paper Plus.

This book is about a valuable global parental skill that is rapidly being lost. This skill of early gentle toilet training (Elimination Communication) is a traditional indigenous method of using timing, intuition and sounds with minimal use of cloth or disposable nappies. The advantage of this method is a stronger body connection that leads to a deeper attachment between the caregiver and baby. This leads to improving conscious and unconscious awareness between caregiver and baby that subsequently helps the child to be more in tune with his or her own body and feelings. The results are enhanced awareness and a relational way of being that impacts on individual and societal communication. The by-products are that the children, as well as the environment, are protected from possible physical dangers, and from our world’s accumulating non-biodegradable waste.
